The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India (HMAI) extends heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Preetha K on her appointment as the Advisor for Homoeopathy to the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
Dr. Preetha K currently serves as Senior Chief Medical Officer (Senior Administrative Grade) at CGHS, Bangalore, and now takes on this prestigious advisory role to guide national policy and development initiatives in Homoeopathy under the Ministry of AYUSH.
An accomplished alumnus of the Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode (Kerala), Dr. Preetha graduated in 1992 and has since built an impressive career blending clinical excellence, administrative expertise, and academic advancement. She completed a WHO Fellowship in 2011 through a country training program on AYUSH in Non-Communicable Diseases and Health Promotion.
Her academic accomplishments also include a PG Diploma in Medico-Legal Ethics from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore (2015), and a PG Diploma in Health and Hospital Management from IGNOU. She has also undertaken specialized training in Cardiology Technologies for Medical Practitioners (2007) and in the Prevention of Chronic Kidney Diseases (2012).
Recognized for her commitment to quality patient care and evidence-based Homoeopathic practice, Dr. Preetha brings rich experience and a progressive outlook to her new role. It is anticipated that her guidance will significantly contribute to advancing research, strengthening Homeopathic Pharmacy, and fostering the integration of Homoeopathy within national health priorities.
